What it does
Epic Validator checks an epic's text against the structural and quality criteria used across the business analysis team — completeness of description, clarity of acceptance criteria, and adherence to the internal requirements template. Paste an epic, get instant, structured feedback instead of waiting for a peer-review cycle.
Why it exists
Requirement quality was inconsistent across a growing team of analysts, and manual review didn't scale. Epic Validator moved that first quality pass earlier and made it instant — and now feeds the same checking logic into BA Academy's in-platform tools.
My Role
Designed and independently built as an AI microservice, deployed alongside the rest of the BA Tools ecosystem. Defined the validation criteria based on the team's internal requirements standard, then implemented the LLM-based checking logic and the review UI. No development team involved.
