Description
What it does
Backlog Builder takes a plain-text epic description and generates a ready-to-review backlog: 2-4 use cases and 4-6 user stories, each scored against INVEST criteria, with acceptance criteria attached. Results export to CSV for import into Jira or any other tracker.
Why it exists
Built as a companion to Epic Validator — instead of checking quality after a backlog already exists, Backlog Builder helps generate the first draft itself, so analysts start from a structured baseline rather than a blank page.
My Role
Designed and independently built on the same architecture pattern as Epic Validator. Defined the INVEST scoring logic, prompt design, and CSV export format. No development team involved.
